At Hung My Temple, we are dedicated to promoting the teachings of Duc Tong Su Minh Tri's teachings. Our mission is to create a supportive community where individuals can explore, preserve, and spread Buddhism worldwide by practicing Buddhist scriptures, canon laws, and theories to enhance wisdom, loving kindness, and harmony. We also provide opportunities to make intellectual and material contributions to practicing charity.
ĐỨC TÔNG SƯ MINH TRÍ - Founder (Thành lập Tịnh Độ )
Duc was born in 1886 at Tan My City, Province Sa Dec. His birth name was Nguyen van Bong. His parents passed away when he was young. He was raised by his sister who taught oriental medicine to him. He used medical knowledge to take care of the poor people at age of 25. He was the founder of Tịnh độ Cư sĩ Phật hội.
